VISION:

The City’s vision is to have an environment friendly and resilient community with its citizen aware and conscious of their social responsibility to sustain a clear and efficient solid waste management practices worth emulating by the future generation of Manila.

MISSION:

To attain the City’s vision, it is the paramount mission of the City Government Administration through the Department of Public Services (DPS), to steward its constituents on the following activities:

* The practice of waste segregation at source to establish the manner in which factory returnable waste be economically feasible;
*Waste diversion practice by way of backyard composting and massive campaign in barangays to have backyard or frontyard garden in the household;
*Waste reduction through waste generation avoidance;
*Establish collection and disposal system for household hazardous waste
*Discourage illegal and late dumping of solid waste through efficient garbage collection services;
*Implement and enforce all environment and solid waste management laws and ordinances.
