Manila hailed as 2021 Most Business-Friendly LGU

The Manila City government has been hailed as 2021 Most Business-Friendly local government unit by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) on Thursday, November 18.

Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso assured the officials of PCCI and the public that it will continue to create programs and projects that will benefit the business sector.

According to PCCI, the award “recognizes local government units that have been successfully restoring and increasing the business operations in their area thru significant and sustained innovative actions, programs, and policies.”

To note, the city of Manila has been consistent in supporting the business sector affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Some of the projects done by various departments are the following: Manila Support Local Campaign, the establishment of the Business One Stop Shop, and Go Manila App.

General tax amnesty program was also declared in the nation’s capital to alleviate the hardships to business owners brought by the pandemic.

“Sa maliit naming kaparaanan, pipilitin naming maging masinop, mainam, at episyente kayong paglingkuran,” Domagoso said.
