Manila ranks no. 3 in highest locally sourced revenues in 2021 — DOF-BLGF

The City of Manila places third in Department of Finance’s Bureau of Local Government Finance (DOF-BLGF) list of highest locally sourced revenues (LSRs) for provinces, cities, and municipalities.

Manila, whose LSR collection for fiscal year 2021 amounts to 11,566,810, is also part of the “Highest LSRs Hall of Fame” by BLGF, having placed third from 2018 to 2021.

DOF-BLGF ranked local government units (LGUs) based on the collection efficiency of the LSRs and year-in-year growth.

LSRs are the revenues collected by the LGU from business tax, real property tax, regulatory fees, and other taxes imposed on businesses and other enterprises.

Also in the top rankings for 2021 are Quezon City and Makati, whom ranked first and second respectively.
