LOOK: The Manila city government launched the Manila Child Protection Handbook as the city celebrates the 29th National Children’s Month on Monday, November 8.
Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso and Vice Mayor Doktora Honey Lacuna led the launching together with Manila Department of Social Welfare Director Re Fugoso.
“Ang inyong pamahalaang lungsod ay sumusuporta ng buong-buo sa karapatan at pagtataguyod ng maayos na kinabukasan ng mga bata,” the Mayor said.
Domagoso assured the parents that the city government will continue to protect their children as vaccine rollout for minors ages 12-17 years old continues.
As of Sunday, November 7, at least 25,497 minors have already been vaccinated.
“So sa mga magulang, lolo’t lola, huwag kayong mag-alala, basta ang inyong mga apo, mga anak, ay amin ring proproteksyunan laban sa COVID-19,” he said.
The launching of the Manila Child Protection Handbook was made simultaneously with the recognition of winners of the poster making contest and the opening of the Art Exhibit of Children at the Manila City Hall.
