IN PHOTOS: Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan and Vice Mayor Yul Servo Nieto conducted inspections as the first day of classes start in the City of Manila on Monday, August 22.

Lacuna-Pangan and Nieto, along with Division of City Schools Superintendent Maria Magdalena Lim, visited Bacood Elementary School and Araullo High School during the morning shift and Isabelo Elementary School and Jose Abad Santos High School on the afternoon shift.

During Lacuna-Pangan’s message in front of students of Bacood Elementary School, she encouraged students to have their vaccination.

“Magpabakuna na kayo ha, karagdagang proteksyon yan lalo na at pumapasok na po kayo ng face-to-face,” she appealed when she saw a few number of students raising their hands when asked who were not yet vaccinated.

She also thanked the parents, teachers, and staff for preparing the schools for the protection of the students.

“Welcome sa panibagong school year sa ating mga mag-aaral, mga magulang at mga teachers na ilang linggo na rin po nagpeprepare na maging safe ang ating mga paaralan,” she said.

“Ang panawagan ko lang po ay karagdagang proteksyon sa inyong mga anak,” she added.
