ICYMI: The Manila City government has formally opened the newly redeveloped Arroceros Urban Forest Park to the general public.

Manila City Mayor Francisco ‘Isko Moreno’ Domagoso and Vice Mayor Maria Sheilah “Honey” Lacuna-Pangan led the inauguration of the 2.72 hectare park.

Following the opening of the Arroceros Park, that was dubbed as the last lung of Manila, Domagoso said that he hopes that this will address the mental health issue brought by the pandemic.

Kayo lagi ang mahalaga,” the Mayor added.

Among the features of the part includes the additional 5 hectares, making the total area of Arroceros at 2.71.

Also includes in the features is the elevated walkway, trail bridge, fountain, Koi pond, meditation area, exhibit area, Coffee shop, and vertical garden, among others.

“Kapit lang, makakaraos tayo. Itatawid namin kayo.

“Kaya pumanatag kayo, mayroon kayong kaagapay at masasandalang gobyerno at pamahalaan,” he added.
