DIST. II: OSPITAL NG TONDO
About Us
A healthy citizenry is the backbone of a progressive nation. Realizing the health needs of the City of Manila and aiming to make the much needed health services readily available and easily accessible to constituents ideally in every district, then Mayor Gemiliano Lopez initiated the construction of the hospital building. With existing building, Mayor Alfredo S. Lim envisioned a local government hospital that will cater to the medical needs especially of the unprivileged sector of our society. With firm resolve, this gave birth of the to Ospital ng Tondo, inaugurated last May 3, 1994, strategically situated along the busy Jose Abad Santos St. This invariably made hospital care within reach of poverty-stricken residents of TONDO.

With today’s upward spiraling cost of medical care, the establishment of 50-BED CAPACITY SECONDARY HOSPITAL housed in a 5-storey building in the very heart of the densely populated district of Tondo is surely the answer to a poor man’s health needs. Funded solely by the local government, Ospital ng Tondo offers FREE medical consultation, FREE laboratory and X-ray services, FREE hospitalization and FREE medicines to the countless who want to avail of all these health benefits.

These spell the difference between a successful treatment outcome of a lingering disease among our poor patients. Manned not merely by resident physicians in training but by full time doctors and specialists, OSPITAL NG TONDO has already established a 25 year track record of quality health care worthy of the trust and respect of the people it serves.
