BACK-TO-BACK: UDM records 100% passing rate, PLM seals third top performing school in Physical Therapist Licensure Examination.
The Universidad de Manila (UDM) and the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila excelled in the recently concluded Physical Therapist (PT) Licensure Examination.
UDM achieved a perfect passing rate in the December 2021 PT board exam with all of its first time takers passed.
“To our Board passers, soar high, Merlions! Your UDM family and the City of Manila are so proud of you! You are a testament to our shared goal and mandate of delivering quality education towards academic excellence,” UDM President Dr. Felma Carlos-Tria said.
“To our students, rest in the University’s continued commitment of providing a conducive and inclusive environment to ensure your success. We will be beside you throughout your journey,” she added.
Meanwhile, PLM earned the third highest passing rate with a percentage score of 95.24 percent after majority of its first time takers passed said examination.
Results of the said examination was released by the Professional Regulation Commission on Monday, December 13.
“The PLM administration beams with pride anew as our physical therapy alumni yielded a strong passing rate in the licensure examination,” PLM President Emmanuel Leyco said.
“We hope to sustain the quality of education that we are offering to students especially now that the College of Physical Therapy has started offering limited face-to-face classes after nearly two years of closure. This is an encouragement that we are on the right track,” he added.
Both the performance of UDM and PLM exceeded the national passing rate for the Physical Therapist Licensure Examination with 68.97% or 978 out of 1,418 examinees passed.
To note, UDM had an over-all performance rating of 75% in the February 2020 PT board exam while PLM obtained the top performing school during the August 2019 Physical Therapist Licensure Examination, with all of its 56 examinees passed.
