LOOK: Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso led on Thursday night, January 13, the start of the 24/7 booster shot drive-thru vaccination caravan in Luneta.

Domagoso personally thanked the members of the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) for their efforts to vaccinate the general public.

“Alam ko na mahirap itong pinapagawa ko sa inyo, kaya I went here to thank you personally. Tyagain niyo lang, tiisin na natin ito, para sa Maynila, para sa tao, para kahit na kanino, para sa pamilya ninyo,” Domagoso said.

“Our goal is mabawasan o mapaliit yung porsyento ng may mamatay. Wala na tayong magagawa sa impeksyon, pero may magagawa tayo na maproteksyunan ang tao,” the mayor added.

Domagoso likewise oversee the ongoing vaccination drive until the wee hours of Friday with other city government officials such as MDRRMO Director Arnel Angeles, Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau Dir. Dennis Viaje, City Electrician Engr. Randy Sadac, and Department of Public Services Dir. Kenneth Amurao.

The local chief executive of the nation’s capital said that continuous effort must be done in order to save as many lives as possible, and as soon as possible.

“Kailangan talaga natin bilisan ang kilos. Kailangan natin magbigay ng tunay na solusyon. Kailangan natin bilisan ang aksyon,” Domagoso said.
