Manila City Mayor Francisco ‘Isko Moreno’ Domagoso said that his constituents still have the freedom to choose what brand of COVID-19 vaccine they want to receive.

While the local government will no longer announce what brand of vaccines they will deploy at a vaccination site, Domagoso said the public can still ask healthcare workers at the vaccination site which vaccine brands are available.

The Mayor stressed that his constituents’ right to choose and right to information will still be respected in the nation’s capital.

Susundin namin ang alituntunin ng DOH/IATF,” the Mayor said in a Facebook Live broadcast.

Your body. Your choice. Karapatan mo iyan,” he added.

Domagoso also said that while vaccination remains voluntary, he reminded the public that the best vaccines are the ones that are available.

‘Yan, patuloy kong igagalang,” the Mayor said.

The Mayor hopes to achieve population protection in Manila by September as the local government continues to ramp up its vaccination drive. (FMO/MPIO)
