Joining Domagoso were Manila Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan and Manila Health Department (MHD) Officer Dr. Arnold Pangan.
The board tackled the city’s health concerns and focused on the possibility of creating a Manila Center for Infectious Disease Control.
“I want to prepare the City of Manila as a local government unit so that we can take care of our people. And if we can augment the capacity and capability of San Lazaro or the national government, why not?” the Mayor said.
Domagoso also asserted that he wants to properly utilize Sta. Ana Hospital and plans to develop the hospital’s 9th and 10th floor to be a controlled environment to address infectious diseases.
“Ayoko kasi ng reactive. Gusto ko preemptive,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Dr. Pangan assured that they are continuously monitoring the number of Persons Under Monitoring and Persons Under Investigation for COVID-19 cases.
