Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso officiated the wedding of 300 couples at PAG-IBIG Fund’s annual mass wedding, “I Do, I Do! Araw ng Pag-IBIG” on Valentine’s Day, Friday, February 14 at the PAG-IBIG Fund Tent City, Manila Hotel.

Domagoso shared his perspective on the life-long commitment of marriage and in facing hardships that a couple may encounter throughout their relationship.

“Alam n’yo ‘yang kasal, sa simula lang ‘yan mahirap, habang tumatagal, lalong humihirap,” he jokingly said.

“Kaya kailangan umiral sa atin tolerance and understanding pagkat maraming challenges ang kasal,” the Mayor added.

Pag-IBIG Fund Chief Executive Officer Acmad Rizaldy P. Moti said the annual event aims to aid member-couples formalize their union and, at the same time, enjoy the benefits of Pag-IBIG Fund membership.

“We help members from the low-income sector who do not have the financial means to formalize their union and at the same time highlight to them the social benefits of Pag-IBIG Fund membership. This is our way of showing that Pag-IBIG Fund is not only a savings institution and a provider of home loans, but is also their partner in building happy families,” PAG-IBIG CEO Acmad Rizaldy P. Moti said.
