Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso on Monday, January 6, ordered the removal of all printed greetings of politicians for the Traslacion 2020, stressing the importance of the solemnity of the celebration.

“All your greetings will be considered obstructions. We will tear it down. Walang eepal,” Domagoso said during the Traslacion 2020 press conference held at Quiapo Church.

He also addressed several concerns regarding the new route and safety protocols.

Likewise, Domagoso said that no consideration will be given to vendors who will refuse to abide the Zero Vendor Policy along the route from January 8 to 9, 2020.

“It will be considered obstruction. Let’s make this solemn, this is not about opportunity,” he said.

Roadblocks will also be placed to ensure that any attempts to steer the carriage and change routes will be avoided.

Moreover, barbed wires will be strategically positioned on bridges to prevent devotees from climbing through the beams.
