LOOK: The Manila City government on Wednesday, November 27 entered into an agreement with Clean Air Asia and 3M for the Asia Blue Skies Program at the Mayor’s Office, Manila City Hall.

Clean Air Asia was represented by its Deputy Executive Director Atty. Glynda Bathan-Baterina, while 3M was represented by its President and Managing Director, Mr. Ariel Lacsamana.

The City of Manila was chosen as the sole beneficiary of the program which aims to deploy micro air sensors, which are more advanced than the current Air Quality Monitoring (AQM) system of the city, to determine current “hot-spots” and potential ones to prioritize the improvement of air quality.

Domagoso said this was in line with his plans to reduce air pollution and adapting current technology to facilitate the construction of vertical gardens.

“We deserve better air,” Domagoso said.
