FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

The Electronic Data Processing (EDP) is a division under Office of the Mayor, which maintains an internal network of over 200 desktop workstations, network based equipment, operating systems and servers.

EDP maintains an array of revenue systems including business license, assessment and taxation, traffic redemption system and other information system.  In addition to maintaining existing systems we are working to introduce new set of technology equipment that will help the process of each department. We have also developed the structure of the new city’s official website.

Development Services

Act as an architect of a system by contributing in the database structure build-up. Designed and maintained the official website of the City of Manila and provide online information to each department. Study the technical concerns and provide solutions.

Network & Technical Services

Network services – maintain the connectivity of workstations and servers on a local area network, and assure the connection of each department.
Technical services: A help-desk function providing technicians to work resolve various technical problems.

This division is servicing not just the Office of the Mayor, but almost every department and offices inside Manila city hall including the city hall based trial courts.
