“Progressive, fair and just.”
This is the vision statement of Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso on Tuesday, January 28, during his keynote speech for the Grand Alumni Homecoming of the UST Alumni Priests’ Association held at Plaza Mayor, University of Sto. Tomas.
Domagoso also shared his spiritual beliefs and how his faith molded him as a person.
“My mother once told me, God is listening all time. It is my privilege to say it before you, I am nothing without God,” he professed.
He also highlighted the importance of religion in shaping the society and called for the cooperation between the church and the government for the betterment of the nation’s capital.
“Help me revive Manila. Let’s do it all together. Pagbutihin natin, hindi para sa atin, kundi para sa ating susunod na salinlahi,” the Mayor said.
