Firefly Electric and Lighting Corporation donated on Monday, November 18, about 2,000 capiz lights to the Manila City government.
Based on their plan, the donated capiz lights will be placed at Liwasang Bonifacio near Quiapo bridge and the Manila Metropolitan Theater which is currently undergoing rehabilitation.
Once installed, Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said that the capiz lights would give a “walking trail” effect for the public.
Right now, the Manila City government has already placed capiz lights along Roxas Boulevard, Kartilya ng Katipunan, Calabash road in Sampaloc, and Plaza Rueda at United Nations Avenue, among others.
“I hope you continue to believe that Manila will be better so that you will not leave Manila,” Domagoso told the executives of Firefly Electric and Lighting Corporation present during the meeting.
