LOOK: PhilHealth President Ret. Brig. General Ricardo Morales paid a courtesy call to Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso on Wednesday, November 13, at the Mayor’s Office, Manila City Hall.
Domagoso was joined by Manila Vice Mayor Dra. Honey Lacuna-Pangan.
They discussed the implementation of the Republic Act 11223, otherwise known as the Universal Healthcare Law and its implications on the current insurance coverage by Philhealth and other providers.
Also tackled was the recently opened Flora V. Valisno de Siojo Dialysis Center, the country’s largest free dialysis facility for indigent patients. Domagoso assured that the residents of Manila will be the priority for the procedure.
PhilHealth then expressed its support on Manila’s health care advocacies.
“Maaasahan nyo na PhilHealth will support you,” swore Morales to Domagoso.
Other executives of PhilHealth present during the visit were Vice President for Corporate Affairs Group, Dr. Shirley B. Domingo, Ms. Nadine Navarro from Corporate Marketing, Head Executive Asst. Etrobal Laborte and Executive Assistant Christine Bravo.
Directors of local government hospitals were also in attendance during the meeting.
